There are lots of art from trash around the world, sculptures made of plastic gathered from the lakes and oceans. All those trash art installation has a symbolic meaning of keeping nature clean.
The Tavaha Whale is a sculpture by Valentin Manz, created in collaboration with Nordic Ocean Watch, Polaria, Grønt Punkt and Tromsø municipality. Tavaha stands for ‘Ta vare på havet’, take care of the ocean, and aims to put focus on marine litter. The whale is created from marine litter found in the area of Troms, Northen Norway.
